Also called a dolly brace or stiff leg pad, it supports the converter dolly drawbar in a horizontal position when it is not connected to a trailer, preventing the dolly from tipping or dragging on the ground. The galvanized steel construction resists corrosion, which is critical for undercarriage parts exposed to road salt and weather. You typically replace this part when the original brace becomes bent, cracked, or severely rusted, or as part of a dolly rebuild.
