BRACE 3/8X3X9-3/4

This is a heavy-duty steel brace lug, sometimes called a gusset, used to reinforce structural joints on semi-trailers. It is cut from 3/8-inch thick flat stock into a right-angle triangle shape, with a 3-inch width on one leg, an 8-inch length on the other, and a 9-1/2-inch diagonal edge. Mechanics replace these when a trailer’s frame or landing gear bracing gets bent, cracked, or rusted, restoring the rigid connection between crossmembers, side rails, or landing gear legs.
