The flat head sits flush with the floor surface to prevent cargo damage, and the Type F point cuts its own threads when driven into a pre-drilled 7/32-inch pilot hole. These screws are typically replaced when floorboards are removed or when screws become stripped, corroded, or lose holding power. A T-30 Torx bit is required for installation.
