Torque rods, also called radius rods or control arms, connect the axle to the frame to control longitudinal and lateral forces. They maintain proper axle alignment, reduce driveline vibration, and prevent uneven tire wear. Kits are replaced when bushings or rod ends wear out, often indicated by clunking noises, loose steering, or visible bushing deterioration.
