It is used on small-diameter hoses such as emission control lines, fuel lines, and vacuum hoses, providing a tight, leak-free seal with only 10–15 inch-pounds of torque. You replace it when the clamp becomes corroded, loses tension, or is damaged to prevent hose leaks.
