When the original hook on a tarp strap breaks, becomes lost, or gets damaged, this hook can be inserted into the strap’s end loop to restore the strap’s anchoring ability. The S-hook allows you to quickly connect the strap to a grommet, D-ring, or stake pocket on a truck or trailer, keeping the tarp tight and preventing it from flapping or exposing the load. These hooks are typically used on flatbeds, dump trucks, and utility trailers, and they are not load-rated for tie-down applications—use only with tarp straps.
