It transmits steering motion from the drag link to both wheels simultaneously. The assembly includes a heavy-duty 2.50-inch diameter tube and both left-hand (roadside) and right-hand (curbside) threaded ends. Replacement is required when tie rod ends wear and develop play, causing loose steering, wandering, or uneven tire wear, or if the tube becomes bent from impact.
