Specifically designed as an inbreathing (vacuum-breaking) vent for tank trailer vapor recovery systems. Requires a 4" TTMA mounting flange and, when mounted in tubing, a minimum 4.375" internal diameter for proper flow around the disc.

It's a safety device designed to protect a tank trailer's vapor recovery system. If the normal vapor line becomes blocked or closed while unloading product, this spring-loaded vent opens automatically to let air into the tank, preventing a vacuum that could collapse the tank. It's commonly replaced if the internal Buna-N rubber disc fails, the spring weakens, or the vent gets stuck shut.
