It accepts 3/8-inch outer diameter nylon (or polyethylene) tubing on one end without tools, and the other end has a 1/8-inch male NPT thread that swivels, making installation easier. It is commonly used on heavy-duty trucks and trailers in air brake, air suspension, and cab air management systems to connect plastic air lines to valves or other components. Replace it if the internal O-ring seal wears out and causes an air leak, or if the brass body cracks.
