It adds protection to the light and is constructed from UV-resistant, non-corrosive polycarbonate. The bracket is designed to route the pigtail wiring to the side and requires a special 2-pin AMP connector (Phillips P/N 51-96210) without a sealed boot to fit within the bracket.
