It connects the service air line from a tractor to a trailer's air brake system. The swinger design lets the gladhand rotate 180°, preventing the hose from kinking and reducing wear on the coupling. A QWIK-E quick-connect makes it faster to attach or release, and when disconnected an internal spring returns the gladhand to a sealed position to keep out dirt, moisture, and insects. Replace yours if the mounting ear is cracked, the seal leaks, or the swivel has seized.
