It uses synthetic media to capture particles, achieving 99% efficiency at 15 microns, which helps protect engine bearings and hydraulic components from wear. The filter has no anti-drainback valve and screws onto an M92 x 2.5 thread; it is commonly replaced as part of routine engine maintenance. It is the Donaldson equivalent to several John Deere and CLAAS original filters, and fits a variety of heavy-duty diesel engines that call for those part numbers.
