This is a packing gland for Roper 3611–3622 series rotary gear pumps, commonly used on tank trailers for fuel, oil, or chemical transfer. The packing gland compresses the packing rings around the pump shaft to create a seal and prevent fluid leakage. It should be replaced when the gland becomes worn, cracked, or corroded to the point that adjusting the packing can no longer stop a leak, or if the gland is damaged during pump maintenance. The part is cast iron and fits the stuffing box of the designated pump models.
Verify pump model number before ordering. This gland is specific to Roper’s 3611–3622 pump series; also fits other older Roper models (e.g., 3632, 3648) but check dimensions.
