It is a half-round yoke style designed to be welded to 2.000-inch outside diameter tubing with a 0.120-inch wall thickness. The double cardan joint allows operation at steeper angles, commonly used to eliminate driveline vibrations on lifted vehicles. The long slip design accommodates suspension movement. Replace this CV head when the centering socket, ball, or u-joint bearings wear out, causing clunks or vibrations.
