It provides a 1.500-inch, 16-spline male end that mates with a slip yoke or coupling in a heavy-duty driveline. The shaft is machined to fit 2.75-inch outside diameter tubing with a 0.083-inch wall thickness. When the splined end of a driveshaft becomes worn or damaged, this component is replaced and professionally welded into the existing tube to restore the driveline.
