It welds onto a 2.75-inch diameter, 0.083-inch wall steel tube and holds the centering ball stud, allowing the driveshaft to operate smoothly at high angles. Commonly used on 1999 and later Ford F-250/F-450 Super Duty front CV driveshafts, it's also suitable for custom heavy-duty driveline applications. Replacement is necessary when the ball stud bore becomes worn or the yoke is damaged, to eliminate driveline vibration and maintain safe operation.
