2 120 SPL STUB SHAFT

This is a driveshaft stub shaft (also called a spline stub) used when building or repairing a heavy-duty driveshaft. It features a 1.375-inch major diameter with 16 parallel splines that mate into a matching slip yoke to allow the shaft to change length as the suspension moves. The shaft end is sized to fit into 2.0-inch outside diameter tubing with a .120-inch wall thickness, where it gets welded in place. You typically replace this part when the splines are worn, twisted, or damaged from lack of lubrication, which causes driveline vibration or failure.
