It controls fluid flow: the valve is closed when the platform lowers (gravity down) and opens when the platform raises, allowing the pump to build pressure. It is replaced when the liftgate fails to raise or lower properly, often due to a stuck, leaking, or electrically failed coil. The valve features a 12 VDC double‑spade coil and fits several Maxon TUK-A-WAY models.
