It uses white diodes behind a red lens to meet DOT requirements for side marker and clearance lighting when mounted at a 45-degree angle. These lights are commonly replaced when they burn out, get cracked, or when a trailer is being refurbished to maintain road-legal visibility. The light operates on a 9-16 volt DC system and has an integrated bracket for surface mounting.
