It's the support leg that goes on the driver's side of your trailer and works with a separate gear leg to support the front of the trailer when it's not connected to a truck. The non-gear leg does not have its own crank mechanism—it's driven by a connecting shaft from the gear leg—and it's typically replaced if the leg housing is damaged, the sandshoe foot is worn or rusted out, or the internal lift screw fails. This model has a 17-inch travel and a 10 x 10-inch sandshoe foot, providing stable support on soft ground or uneven surfaces.
