It mounts to the landing gear gearbox and is turned by hand to raise or lower the trailer’s front end during coupling and uncoupling. A side-fold joint allows the handle to be stored flat against the gear housing when not in use. Most commonly replaced when the handle bends, the fold pin seizes, or the grip becomes difficult to turn.
