It's the gearbox side (right-hand) leg with 17 inches of vertical travel, designed for inside-mount applications. This leg contains the internal gearbox that drives the two-speed crank mechanism, letting you raise or lower a loaded trailer with less effort in low gear and quickly position it in high gear. You would replace this if your existing leg is bent, the gears are stripped, the internal seals have failed allowing moisture in, or the cushion foot is damaged.
