It is the non-gearside (slave) leg of a two-leg landing gear set, mounted on the outside of the trailer frame with a 10-bolt pattern. The leg provides 17 inches of travel and features a cush foot that helps absorb shock and reduce trailer motion. It is typically replaced when the leg is damaged, bent, or has excessive wear, or when upgrading to a heavier-duty landing gear system.
