It is the component that moves the locking pins when the driver operates the slider release, allowing the trailer axles to slide forward or backward. The actuator features cast iron ends and a tee fitting, and is designed for 48-inch and 54-inch slider boxes manufactured before February 2015. Replace it when the slider pins fail to retract smoothly, the actuator cable is seized, or the component is damaged.
