The kit includes 38 replacement torque-to-yield head bolts and 38 washers (OEM numbers 23530768 and 8929328) necessary to properly re-seal the cylinder head after removal. Because these bolts stretch during installation, they must be replaced every time the head is pulled to maintain correct clamping force and prevent head gasket leaks.
