PACKING CYLINDER

This is a main packer/ejector cylinder for Heil front-load and side-load refuse trucks. It provides the hydraulic force to compact trash inside the body and eject the load at the landfill. You typically replace it when the rod is bent or scored, seals are bypassing internally (causing slow or weak pack/eject cycles), or the body is cracked from fatigue. The unit weighs approximately 386 lbs and is a direct replacement for 23-yard front-loaders and 28-yard side-loaders.
