This is a Grote SuperNova sealed Turtleback II LED clearance/marker light. It’s a small, rectangular amber lamp that mounts to the side of a truck or trailer to make the vehicle visible from the front and side, which is required by federal lighting standards. You typically replace one of these when the lens is cracked, the housing is leaking and causing corrosion, or the LEDs stop working. Because it uses LED technology and is fully potted to seal out moisture, it lasts much longer and uses very little power compared to older bulb-style marker lights.
