It provides 15.5 inches of travel and features a cushion foot to absorb shock when dropping the trailer. The gearbox side houses the crank mechanism and gears that link to the opposite leg via a cross shaft, allowing the driver to raise or lower the entire landing gear assembly. You’d replace this leg if the original is bent, seized, or the internal gears are stripped, preventing safe operation.
