It features a 6-pin electrical connector and three J-slots with stainless steel wear rings that are guaranteed for life against wear. The socket mates with a loading arm to provide a secure, vapor‑tight connection and typically includes an air interlock to prevent the trailer from pulling away during loading. It’s replaced when the J‑slots wear or the electrical contacts fail, though the stainless rings are extremely durable.
