It uses a ceramic button facing on a 4-paddle dual disc with 7 angle springs to provide smooth engagement and high torque capacity. A clutch brake is included for non-synchronized transmissions. The unit is manually adjustable with an EZ-type pedal assist, and it is typically replaced when the clutch disc is worn, the pressure plate clamping force is diminished, or when upgrading for high-torque applications.
