It serves as an internal self-closing stop valve that meets DOT HM183 requirements, featuring a shear section that will safely break away if the valve is knocked off during an accident, preventing spills. Its internal trim is stainless steel and it has a Teflon-encapsulated main seal for broad chemical compatibility. The valve has a straight flow path and a Victaulic (grooved) outlet connection.
