4' CABLE OPER GROOVED, STRAIGHT BELLYVALVE

This is a 4-inch aluminum manual (cable-operated) emergency valve, commonly called a belly valve, designed for cargo tank trailers. It is an internal self-closing stop valve that mounts inside the tank sump and opens by pulling a cable; if the valve shears away in an accident, an internal spring closes it to prevent product loss. The valve has a straight-through body with a grooved outlet and Buna-N (Nitrile) seals, suitable for petroleum products. It meets TTMA RP86 shear requirements (10,000 lb maximum force rating) and is typically used on DOT406 fuel tankers or chemical trailers requiring manual operation.
