END YOKE

This is a coupling shaft (jack shaft) end yoke from Spicer's 1810 series. It uses a strap-style U-joint retention and has a 46-spline bore with a 2.390-inch major diameter to fit the matching shaft. The yoke bolts to a companion flange or pinion, transmitting torque from the driveshaft to the coupling shaft. It should be replaced when the splines strip, the yoke ears bend, or the U-joint bearing seats become worn, which can cause vibration or driveline failure.
