It is designed to secure large-diameter hydraulic suction and return lines onto fittings, using two bolts that tighten to a recommended 40 ft-lbs of torque. The clamp’s inner surface has dual gripping ridges that bite into the hose, and the bolt lugs are reinforced to resist bending. It fits hose with an outer diameter between 2-5/16 inches and 2-5/8 inches, and is commonly used on dump trucks, refuse trucks, and hydraulic systems where a leak-free, high-pressure connection is critical. Replace when the clamp is corroded, deformed, or no longer holds the hose securely.
