It acts as your low and high beam headlight in one capsule, using halogen gas to produce a brighter, whiter light that shines farther down the road than older incandescent bulbs. You typically replace this when one beam burns out, the glass is damaged, or both headlights seem dim and yellowed, restoring full road visibility and keeping you compliant with DOT regulations. The bulb runs on a standard 12-volt electrical system with a 55-watt low beam and 60-watt high beam.
