It is a solid, hardened fastener used to secure components in heavy-duty truck and trailer fifth wheel assemblies, landing gear, and other shear-prone connections. The grooved design provides a tight interference fit, preventing the pin from loosening under vibration, and the shearproof construction resists shearing forces.
