This is a 3-post, positive‑excite start solenoid with a curved base, used on 12‑volt electric liftgate motors.

It energizes the motor on power‑up/gravity‑down liftgate models and is rated for intermittent duty at 150 amps. Replace it when the liftgate motor fails to engage or starts intermittently. The solenoid is a direct replacement for common Maxon, Waltco, and Progressive part numbers.
