It's the brain of a 2-sensor/1-modulator (2S/1M) ABS setup on multi-axle, non-steer trailer axles, constantly monitoring wheel speeds and adjusting brake pressure to prevent lockup. The potted, sealed enclosure and direct-connect wiring make it durable and simple to service—you replace it when the ABS warning light stays on or diagnostic blink codes point to a failed ECU. It directly supersedes the older AL919323 unit, and for pre-2009 trailers, you may need adapter cable AL919347.
