OIL SUCTION MANIFOLD

This is an oil suction manifold (also called a pickup tube) for Detroit DD15 heavy-duty diesel engines. It bolts inside the oil pan and draws oil up into the engine’s lubrication circuit, ensuring every bearing, piston, and turbocharger gets a steady supply of clean oil. Over time, the manifold can crack, clog with sludge, or develop air leaks that cause low oil pressure at startup—so it’s usually replaced during an inframe overhaul or whenever the oil pan is dropped for low-pressure troubleshooting.
