HORTON FAN HUB SPACER

This is a Horton fan hub spacer, also known as an engine cooling fan spacer kit. It is a machined metal spacer, typically 2-1/4 inches thick, that installs between the fan hub (or fan clutch) and the engine-side mounting surface. Its job is to position the cooling fan at the correct distance from the radiator shroud and radiator core. Proper spacing is critical for pulling air efficiently through the radiator; without it, the fan can rub, airflow is reduced, and the engine may run hot or overheat. You replace it when changing fan configurations, upgrading to a different fan clutch, or if the original spacer is damaged or corroded.
