It includes low-temperature Viton (FKM) seals and a serrated retention ring to stop leaks at the swivel connection. Swivel joints commonly wear out from constant rotation, causing drips of fuel, oil, or chemicals, so replacing the seals restores the reel’s leak-free operation. The Viton material provides excellent resistance to gasoline, diesel, and many harsh chemicals, even in cold weather.
