It secures the ball bearing on the rotor shaft of Blackmer GX2.5, TX2.5, X2.5, and TXD2.5A sliding vane pumps. When rebuilding a pump or replacing a worn bearing, you will need two locknuts per pump. These pumps are commonly found on fuel delivery trucks, tanker trailers, and LPG transports.
