SCULLY FACEPLATE

It mounts on the trailer frame to provide the connection point between the tank’s thermistor or optic sensor wiring and the loading rack’s monitoring equipment. The faceplate includes a socket (often 6‑ or 8‑pin), a protective green vinyl cap that keeps the contacts clean when not in use, a gasket to seal out moisture, and mounting fasteners. When a compartment’s sensor detects that the liquid is nearing the top, it signals the rack monitor to stop the pump, preventing spills. This assembly is replaced when the socket contacts become worn, corroded, or the cap and seal fail, which can cause unreliable signals or false overfill alarms.
