It is designed to be welded onto 3.5-inch outside diameter, 0.095-inch wall steel tubing, forming one end of a driveshaft assembly. When paired with a CP72N universal joint (5.840-inch swing, 1.942-inch bolt hole span), it transfers torque from the transmission to the axle. Weld yokes are replaced when the original is damaged, worn, or during a full driveshaft rebuild.
