This is a 3-inch aluminum locking diesel fuel cap with female threads and a vented design, used to secure the fuel tank on heavy‑duty trucks.

It replaces a standard non‑locking cap to help prevent fuel theft and contamination, while the integrated vent allows pressure equalization. A patented Loc‑Gard seal protects the lock cylinder from moisture and dirt, and a safety chain with crossbar keeps the cap attached during refueling. The cap comes with two keys and meets 49 CFR 393.67 requirements for trucks built after October 1985.
