It connects the driveshaft's universal joint to the differential pinion shaft via a splined bore (39 involute splines, 2.024 inch major diameter). The bolt-plate style yoke works with 1710-series U-joint kits such as 5-280X or 5-675X. Replacing a worn or damaged end yoke prevents driveline vibration, oil seal leaks, and potential drivetrain failure.
