It features a strap-style retention for the universal joint, a 2.500-inch major diameter, 10-spline bore, and a 3.750-inch ground hub that is machined to accept a speedometer gear. The yoke transfers power from the transmission output shaft to the driveshaft, and a replacement is typically needed when splines become worn, the yoke ears are damaged, or during driveline overhauls.
