This is a left-hand thread inner cap nut designed to secure dual-mounted aluminum wheels on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

It threads onto the wheel stud (inner thread 3/4"-16) and provides an outer thread (1-1/8"-16) for the outer lug nut, allowing proper clamping of two aluminum wheels. The nut features a 13/16" hex, through-hardened steel construction, and a counterbore to prevent stud bottoming. It is replaced when threads are damaged, during wheel-end service, or when converting to aluminum duals.
