This is a 9 PSI coolant reservoir cap designed for the coolant surge tank on GM medium-duty trucks (Chevrolet C6500/C7500 and GMC equivalents) powered by Caterpillar 3116 or 3126 diesel engines. It seals the cooling system, maintains proper pressure, and prevents coolant loss. Replace it when the original cap leaks, fails to hold pressure, or causes overheating or coolant escape.
