It uses outside snap rings and has two different spans: 3.219 inches for the 1310 side and 3.625 inches for the 1330 side, both with 1.062-inch diameter bearing caps. The cross body includes a grease fitting, allowing regular lubrication without disassembly. It is commonly found on older Ford trucks and vans, and is also a popular choice for custom driveshaft builds or repairs where mismatched series components need to be joined.
